We offer multiple admission pathways for both local and international students. Whether you’re pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, our university provides a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

For Domestic Students

There are two ways to be admitted into the master’s degree program and one way for the undergraduate program for domestic students. All applicants should have a senior high school degree, or an equivalent degree of senior high school, admitted by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan.

 Master’s Degree

Applicants seeking admission to the master’s program can apply either through an interview or an entrance examination. For those applying via interview, admission decisions will take into account overall academic records, resumes, relevant experience in the counseling field, and applicable research experience. Additionally, students may also gain admission by taking the entrance examination, which is held annually in March.

 Undergraduate Degree

There are currently three admission pathways: "Individual Application," "Exam-Based Admission," and "Star Plan Recommendation." The Individual Application requires General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) scores, learning portfolio materials and a group interview. The Exam-Based Admission requires GSAT scores and Advanced Subjects Test (AST) scores. The Star Plan Recommendation requires GSAT scores and Grade Point Average (GAP). The GSAT will take place in January and the AST in July each year.

 International Students

For international students applying to either the master’s or bachelor’s program, admission is determined solely through the university’s review process. We encourage international applicants to consider our program, as we strive to foster a multicultural learning environment where students can benefit from one another’s diverse cultural backgrounds. For more details and application materials, please visit our university website. Comprehensive guidelines for international student admissions can be found in the Office of International Affairs at the University of Tainan. to International Students. We look forward to welcoming you to our academic community!
